Fire and Sand Documentary Film

Presented by Little Feather Films and Black Sand Neuropsychological Services, Fire and Sand documents healing in the community of lower Puna in the wake of the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Through exploration of the living mythology of the goddess Pele, the inner and outer landscapes of traumatic loss, hope, and new beginnings are revealed.

Local kumus, students, residents and helpers are featured in the film that also highlights the use of mobile Sandplay in disaster relief.
